Sometimes life doesn’t work out the way
We would hope or wish for
God throws us curve balls left and right
It’s hard to know what to expect
Moving on just seems impossible
Heartache, loss, grief, and pain
Seem like a constant companion
Nothing anyone says or does
Can make it feel any better
Life just doesn’t seem worth it
When you were called home that fateful day
The world lost an amazing person
Grandfather, Father, and Husband
Precious memories of you making us laugh
Is what gives us the strength to move foward
Years have passed, days gone by
Yet you will live on in our hearts
I look up at the sky and smile
Because I know without a doubt
You’ll be watching in Heaven with open arms
