The Second City Is No. 1 For Fun

Chicago, positioned along Lake Michigan with breathtaking views of its skyline and architecture, is the Second City in nickname only. America’s third-most populous city with in excess of 2.7 million residents, Chicago is a tremendous vacation destination for people of all ages. Encompassing 228 square miles, Chicago has a seemingly endless array of attractions to see and enjoy. Fortunately, Chicago is an extremely walkable city that’s equipped with boats, trolleys, rental bicycles and its famed elevated train line to help you navigate its vast landscape.

For baseball fans, attending a Cubs game at Wrigley Park on the North Side is imperative. Established in April 1914, the home of the defending World Series champion Cubs is a treasured piece of America’s pastime. Away from the diamond, history buffs will be entranced by a two-hour bus tour that pinpoints Prohibition-era hangouts of notorious gangsters like Al Capone, George “Bugs” Moran and John Dillinger and provides detailed accounts of their criminal activities. If seeking more child-friendly entertainment, venture to Navy Pier and ride Chicago’s newest Ferris wheel, named the Centennial Wheel.

After such a busy day, you’ll surely be hungry and Chicago’s slew of stellar restaurants won’t disappoint. From a deep-dish pizza to exotic cuisine, Chi-town’s food selection will keep you satisfied.

When you stopover, prepare to be blown away by the Windy City and its countless offerings!
