Roughly two weeks ago
Hurricane Maria dealt Puerto Rico and the VI her death blow
Parts of both islands suffered total devastation
gone are homes, business and vegetation
The miracle is how many people are still alive
while they work day and night hand in hand to survive
Juxtapose by US Cabinet members flying around on private jets on the taxpayers dime
drinking champagne and eating caviar and acting like everything is fine
The President comes on tv and says our response to this tragedy is a “good news” case
but I know he is lying straight to our face
It takes everything can do to stop from crying
when I see the videos of the Mayor of San Juan say-help us we’re dying
