Where?
Where will you be my friend
When the lines are drawn, and the truth is told
Will you stand with me or be hard to see—
Where will you be?
We have built a relationship on trust, but I still must wonder
If you will show up when the winds of time forever change
The historical doubt that weighs in the rear of my mind ask the question
Where will you be?
Life can bend our backs and break our spirits
It can allow constituents to look like friends until the tide comes in,
So, I wonder if you are real or faux, hard to know, ‘til I can see
Where you will be.
