The Engines They Desire
The engine builds itself in 2088. It turns its own screws, drills its own holes, grows its own pipes and lets out a roaring breath of fresh smog when it retires in the hood of its designated vehicle. The only people who can drive these cars are the ones who own the engine factories.
Much like our old working world, the engines that make themselves in a unique and inimitable fashion are thrown out before they can influence the others. Rarely, one of these engines are picked up out of the dumpster by the factory owners and displayed in mansions lifelessly.
