Love Spell Of Dreams
I want to slip into a sleeping love spell of dreams
but with nothing to swallow or bite.
Just naked arms around my waist as
we’re enveloped by heavens of night.
But where are you when my eyes won’t close—
—when there’s poison energy around?
Where are you when all I want to hear
are your calming, sleeping sounds?
Lying awake and filled with pain
which can’t be worse than an empty space
in your bed, so where are you when I
need to dreamily hold your weary face?
I want to slip into a sleeping love spell of dreams
but with nothing to swallow to start—
—just your naked skin against my pain,
and taken by the sound of your resting heart.
